Media, press, influencers, content creators, reviewers. No matter what you refer to yourself as, your contribution is no small part of marketing for any industry, especially entertainment. The board game industry is no different. YOU are an essential piece of the puzzle.

A publisher can make social media posts, run ads, post videos they have created (trailers and the like)...etc. But all of those things are posted with a bias: they want to sell something to people so they can make money. There is, of course, more to it than that. Most board game publishers are made up of people who are passionate about this hobby, and they strive to offer games that will enhance people’s enjoyment of the hobby.

Part of what we do here is help foster relationships with the content creator community on behalf of our clients. You’ve probably talked to one of us in the past. Starting now, you will primarily hear from Jondi, but that doesn’t mean you won’t also hear from Kira from time to time. It’s important to make sure that contacting us is easy for you, and we are constantly striving to help eliminate confusion about who at OffDutyNinja you should reach out to. So, you should always use media@offdutyninja.com as your point of contact. Our whole team has access to that email. If one of us is out, someone else can hop in and help, so you don’t have to wait too long for a reply.

In the past, you may have reached out to us and had to wait quite some time for a reply. Our team is constantly working on ways to improve what we do, an area we have focused on in recent months. Not only will we work to reply to you within a week of your initial email, but we will also always reply. Even if we have to tell you no, you will always hear back from us. That is part of building lasting relationships with you, which is important to our clients and us!

We have lots of plans for the future as our company grows. One of those plans is to send out a regular newsletter to all our media friends who have indicated an interest in receiving our emails. We will sometimes tell you about exciting projects we are working on so that they get on your radar, or we will notify you what games we may be seeking more reviewers for! Please don’t ever hesitate to reach out to us in reply to those emails.

We also intend to post blogs semi-regularly targeted to our content creator friends. These blogs might contain some helpful tips, and others might include a spotlight on some content our team especially loved - and those won’t always be content about our client games. After all, we’re gamers, too, and we watch your content!

Lastly, we have a database for our content creator friends. It helps us make sure we know who you are, your channel or site, your reach, and any other pertinent information about you. If you haven’t filled out the form for our database, we encourage you to do so! To be considered for current and future review opportunities, we ask that you fill out the form if you haven’t already done so. You can find it by clicking here.

We also encourage you to include a media kit when you fill out the form. If you do not already have a media kit to attach to this form, here are some free example media kits and templates: https://www.canva.com/media-kits/templates
